James Tapley was born in a small upstate town called Forestport, New York. His parents were both teachers who instilled in their four children the importance of a life filled with adventure, creativity, learning, and the Catholic faith. It’s not farfetched, then, to understand that James is both an author and artist. After graduating high school from The Manlius School in Manlius, New York, he attended the State University of New York at New Paltz as an art major. There he received both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Art Education. During his 37 years teaching in the public schools of New York State, he pursued his love for painting and writing. He has had several one-man art shows and one retrospective exhibition, and has received several art awards nationally and locally. This is his first published book.
He also loves collecting antique cars, twenty-one of them so far, and antique clocks, a hundred and two of them so far.
At age 71, Mr. Tapley is planning on publishing a book of poetry and short stories, already written, and then opening his own art gallery outside Great Barrington, MA. He particularly enjoys his time with his four children and five grandchildren.

If Obama is still the President in 2033, what will the United States be like? Spring Clark is a young woman, married with two children. In 2033, shortly after Obama takes the oath of office for the seventh time, she begins to keep a diary. The events that take place in her life reveal the changes that have taken place in the United States in the previous twenty years. Some of these are appalling, some humorous. Others are shocking and frightening to contemplate.
